Scapa 16yo
Ahoy lads and ladies! This is the 16 year old Scapa ‘The Orcadian’.
Sadly he’s been discontinued, so here’s one more ‘walk the plank’ for this beautiful bottle.
Tasting notes
Nose
Honey, pineapple, fudge and earthy flavours.
Palate
Biscuits, short bread, salted fudge, forest soil. Even though they don’t use peat dried barley, a little peaty flavour sneaked into the water to make this whisky. A bit tropical too, with coconut.
Finish
The finish is medium long, with lots of salty and sweet flavours. Spicy wood, ginger and stewed apples.
This Scapa is a smooth sea for every sailor. So raise the Jolly Roger!
