What a view, this Glen Moray Port Cask Finish. Just look at the interaction between the colors of the liquid and the label.
Luckily this bottle is also pretty beautiful on the inside, although maybe not too interesting for the experienced whisky lover:
Butter, lots of vanilla, an interesting combination of sweet and sour red fruits, like raspberries and redcurrants.
Very creamy, butterscotch, barley, more vanilla and some cinnamon. Very young.
There’s chocolate, honey and blackberry jam. You can even taste some raisins with a bit of oak if you give your dram the time he needs (and deserves.)
An 8 month finishing period in Tawny Port casks makes this whisky a good purchase for those who have a sweet tooth. But it’s a little boring. However, this is a great introduction for starting whisky drinkers, they would love this, even if they say “They don’t like whisky”.
