Allow us to introduce this well-designed bottle from our friends and neighbors from the Slyrs Bavarian Malt distillery! It’s the Slyrs 2011 Virgin Oak (3yo).
Lots of vanilla, very grassy, a touch of white chocolate is in there as well.
Olives, almonds, pecan nuts, a bit grainy, biscuits, some red fruits and an earthy flavour overall.
The finish is short and sweet, just like the way this bottle looks.
Although not being virgin oak enthusiasts ourselves, we think this is a very decent, young whisky to try. Have you tried whisky from other countries outside our beloved Scotland?
