Laphroaig Quarter Cask
The Laphroaig Quarter Cask, a highly affordable dram from our friends of Laphroaig. This bottling was aged for around five years before being finished in a quarter cask for several months, a beautiful experiment.
Tasting notes
Nose
Subtle smoke, oak, nuts, hints of orange peels and medical notes.
Palate
Smoky, salty and creamy. Some chili and vanilla, sweet caramel, roasted almonds, red fruits, oranges and syrup as well.
Finish
It has a long finish with more smoke and fruit. A touch of the sea and that typical Laphroaig peat, but in a subtle way.
Sometimes the quarter cask is a bit shy, but give it some time, we promise you, it’s worth the wait.
