It’s only our second bottle of bourbon after the Buffalo Trace, and it leaves us wondering: why don’t we try bourbon more often?
Perfect for summer nights and as a welcome change between a line-up of scotch. There’s absolutely no reason not to! We brought the Elijah Craig along at a blind tasting last weekend, and it made perfect sense. The Elijah Craig small batch is bottled at 46% ABV and widely available, here are our notes:
Dark fruits, spicy wood, vanilla and peaches,
Very spicy and sweet, dark chocolate infused with cherry liquor, a hint of nail polish too.
Warm dry fruits, dark chocolate, slightly bitter, apples and winter spices.
Spices and dark chocolate galore, a wonderfully robust bourbon, for as far as we (mainly scotch drinkers) can tell. What was your first step into the realm of bourbon?
