Tomatin 14yo 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Matured

It’s very hard to find a Tomatin that’s not tasty, and yet it’s still one of the most underrated distilleries.

Take this 14yo Cabernet Sauvignon matured release for example, red wine is often a hit or miss, but this Tomatin is everything we could ask for in a red wine matured whisky:

Tasting notes

Nose

Sweet, candy, rum, port, raisins, wood, smooth, dry cleaned towels

Palate

Smooth, buttery, full and candy like, strawberry, sherry

Finish

Nicely smooth, sweet, strawberry, yellow raisins, tobacco and a nutty aftertaste

And this is only bottled at 46% ABV, wow! If you’re a sweet tooth like us, this is one not to be missed.
