Glendronach 1990 25yo Single Cask 1375

This is a single cask (1375) from one of our favourite distilleries: GlenDronach. It was distilled 4 days after I was born and bottled in the same month that I went 25.

So when I came across this one, I didn’t hesitate and picked it right up. I didn’t want to open it yet, so for the picture I used a GD Parliament (let’s keep it between us, okay?). So unfortunately I can’t tell how it tastes, yet. But knowing GlenDronach, it couldn’t be anything less than a stunner. The label states the following:

Tasting notes

Nose

Gentle floral notes, orange bitters, dark fruit syrup and rich espresso

Palate

Dark prunes and dates, dusted with vanilla sugar, warming oak spices

Finish

Rich, leathery and vintage

Sounds good, doesn’t it? Now I only have to find the perfect moment to crack this one open, and I will, don’t worry about that. So, what’s your sentimental bottle that you save for a special occasion?
