Just look at this bottle, isn’t it like the Easter Bunny painted the label himself? Hate it or love it, as far as Easter dram are concerned, Glenmorangie delivered.
This whisky has finished on rare Palo Cortado sherry casks. It’s hard to go wrong with these casks, no question. The real question is: how long has the finish been? No information has been given by the distillery, but we can safely say that the cask-influence is noticeable. For an Easter dram, the gentle Glenmorangie character is always a good idea, and this one pairs especially well with a couple of chocolate eggs. The touch of the first sun rays on your skin, the fresh grass under your feet and a this dram, do we need to say more?
Green apples and dates, cacao and cinnamon. A hint of espresso and almonds
A malty and slightly drying palate, with biscuits and yellow fruits. It has a very nice oily mouthfeel which takes you gently to the finish
Sweet and very nutty, with loads of milk chocolate and mocha. Slightly woody, with a touch of dates.
Happy Easter everyone!
