Glen Moray 10yo 2008-2019 #5584 Adelphi

My first ever single malt was a Glen Moray 12yo. And it was a great start. Years later I still enjoy a Moray from time to time. They are dangerously drinkable though. Sometimes you just need that little punch. And that’s where this 10yo Glen Moray by Adelphi comes in.

Only this one doesn’t give you a little punch, no it slaps you in the face with its 59.4% ABV. So a dash of water is highly recommended to unlock its potential it has:

Tasting notes

Nose

Fresh aromas of pear, cucumber and aloë vera. Some bananas and apples, vanilla and coconut plus white chocolate after a warming up.

Palate

Pretty spirit driven, with banana peel, pear and apple. With water there’s a hint of chocolate.

Finish

Definitely some Kinder chocolate, with banana chips, stone fruits and grape. A hint of winegums, cassis, cereals and citrus.

Unlike with the core Glen Moray bottlings, you need to tame this one in order to get the most of it. But when you find its sweet spot: it’s pure enjoyment!
