Let’s stay in Caribbean vibes for International Whisky Day! Here’s an all time (and sadly discontinued) favourite of ours: BenRiach 12yo Arumaticus Fumosus. Heavily peated and finished in dark rum casks.

BenRiach does a great job at integrating peat in their expressions, we often refer in our notes to “BenRiach Peat”. There’s an incredible interplay of sweet and smoky flavours, that goes on and on. We stocked up on a few bottles, so we can continue to enjoy this delicious dram. We really like that BenRiach does their magic again with a new 22yo expression. The Arumaticus Fumosus however, remains one of the best rum finished drams we tasted in a long while. Salud!
