Bunnahabhain 14yo Pedro Ximénez Finish

Sweet, warm, chewy, sticky, syrupy, juicy… only so much words can describe this incredible release from one of our favorite distilleries.

Bunnahabhain Pedro Ximénez Finish is one of those whisky’s that we live for. The reason we love Bunna (in general) so much, is because their portfolio is incredibly diverse, so it this expression. The whisky has matured for around 11 years on second fill sherry casks, before being enriched for 3 years by PX sherry casks.

Tasting notes

Nose

The nose is warm and sweet, with beautiful notes of sultanas, milk chocolate, hazelnut, honey and oak.

Palate

The palate explodes in dark, full, sticky sherry, sultanas and baking spices, it’s full, warming and syrupy.

Finish

The finish continues these flavours, there’s the milk chocolate again, it’s sweet, slightly drying, with tobacco, nuts, berries and it concludes with lots and lots of raisins.

This is one hell of a dessert dram, a little too sweet maybe? Maybe, but who cares? This whisky just makes you smile from ear to ear.
